HISTORY

Dôme is Dôme since 1893, nested in a building built by Architect Joseph Bascourt. Executed in a neo-Flemish renaissance, baroque tinted style.

Evangeline & Frédéric Chabbert have turned one of the most striking buildings of Antwerp into an internationally acclaimed gastronomical venue. Mixing warm hospitality and well-crafted food in a cosy well-designed atmosphere.

FREDERIC CHABBERT

French born, Frédéric has worked in many Michelin-star restaurants in several continents.

From Alain Ducasse’s Le Louis XIV in Monaco and The Dining Room in San Francisco. He received his own two Michelin stars in 2010 in restaurant Petrus of the Hong Kong Shangri-La hotel.

EVANGELINE CHABBERT

Evangeline, the lady of the house, is Philippines-born and Hong Kong-raised.

She mastered the legendary Asian hospitality dedicating over 20 years to the Shangri-La Hotel in Hong Kong, from the Lobby Lounge to the fine dining restaurant.

BERT JANSSEN

Bert our Maitre d’hotel. He is the newest and immediately adopted member of the family.

With a very long experience in hospitality, furthermore, he’s also the master of wine and knows all the secrets of both the food menu and the cellar.

Bert will assist you to find the best match between (in this order…) your taste, your budget and the food that best pairs with it.

Dominic is our project manager.

Having several strings to his bow, you will mostly cross his ever-smiling eyes in the room, but he also manages future projects abroad.

Simon our Sous-Chef, is the oldest and closest collaborator

Organised and  focused, he’s been Frédéric’s wing man and creative accomplice for many years.

Daniel, the cool kid on the block and grand master of Dôme’s renowned Chocolate tart!

He’s in charge of every cold dish, big or small, that leaves the kitchen.
